Morning Warmup - Continuation
A weekly class to serve as a continuation of the initial 6 week course.
Description
Morning Warmup is a class to wake up your body, loosen any stiffness, and prepare for whatever you have going on that day. Whether you are preparing to be sitting or moving, your body will appreciate the gentle approach to building fitness. The class starts with isolated, targeted movements and increases in range of motion as the class goes on. This allows us to warm up the smaller muscles and ligaments which have big impacts on our wellbeing. We begin with minimal movement around the ribcage, spine, and pelvis. As the body warms up, we incorporate larger muscles and more full body motion. The class includes work on a floor mat and standing. During this six-week session, you will enjoy: • Increased proper alignment and freedom of movement • Increased flexibility making you less prone to injury • Increased strength in stabilizing muscles This class is best suited for age 60+, students must be able to get down to the floor and back up.
