Become a GYROTONIC® Trainer
Train to become a Licensed GYROTONIC® Trainer — right here in the Northern Neck.
Motion Studios is proud to host the GYROTONIC® Level 1 Teacher Training Program, a comprehensive 195-hour pathway that takes you from dedicated student to fully qualified trainer. Under the expert instruction of a GYROTONIC® Master Trainer or Pre-Trainer, you'll deepen your understanding of the method's core principles, master the Level 1 exercise sequences on the Pulley Tower, and build the hands-on teaching skills to guide clients of your own. Most students begin teaching as an apprentice within three months and complete their full qualification within a year.
How the Training Works

1
GYROTONIC® Level 1
Pre-Training Course
Your training journey begins here. Over six days (30 hours), you'll build a strong personal foundation in the Level 1 exercises, deepening your own practice and preparing your body for the intensive Foundation Course ahead. This course is all about embodiment — before you learn to teach the work, you learn to truly understand it from the inside.
2
GYROTONIC® Level 1 Foundation Course
This is the heart of the program. Across twelve days (60 hours), a GYROTONIC® Master Trainer guides you through the complete Level 1 exercise curriculum and the teaching techniques behind it — how to see movement, cue it, and guide clients safely and effectively on the Pulley Tower. You'll leave not just knowing the exercises, but understanding how to teach them.
Upon completion, you become a GYROTONIC® Apprentice and can begin teaching right away, putting your new skills into practice with real clients as you work toward full certification.
3
GYROTONIC® Level 1 Apprenticeship Review Course
Now the teaching begins in earnest. During your apprenticeship — a minimum of six months and up to one year — you'll log 60 hours teaching real clients while refining your skills through 30 hours of supervised review with a GYROTONIC® Master Trainer. This six-day review course is where questions from your teaching experience get answered, technique gets polished, and your confidence as a teacher takes shape.
By the end of the apprenticeship period, you'll have the hands-on experience and depth of understanding to step into the Final Certificate Course prepared.
