TIBETAN SINGING BOWL GROUP CLASS
1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturday of the Month 5-6pm $30/person
Description
Tibetan singing bowls are an ancient and powerful healing practice. In this hour-long class, participants rest in a circle on thick padded mats with bolsters and blankets, eyes covered, while the bowls and practitioner sit at the center of the room so everyone can hear and feel the gentle vibrations. Led by world-renowned classical singer Esther Heideman, the practitioner strikes the bowls in shifting patterns, sending sound and energy around the room to each participant in turn. Stress, tension, or dis-ease in the body can cause a bowl to ring dull or out of tune; drawing on her trained musical ear, Esther repeats bowls and patterns until each tone rings clear again, realigning body, mind, and spirit. Because the body is largely made of water, these vibrations travel through you fluidly. The class closes with an opportunity for every participant to experience a healing bowl played directly on their heart.
